The Pacific Scientific 5330 stepper motor driver module provides robust and reliable performance by overseeing the winding currents of stepper motors in the 5000 series through the use of Pulse Width Modulation. This cost-effective bi-polar electrical chopping device manages input functions such as step pulse, direction, and current control, and yields corrected outputs for two-phase stepper motors. Its logical signal insulations are further enhanced via optical isolation. The 5330 module provides controlled phase currents from 18 to 75 Volts DC, and is designed for use with the 5000 Series of Pacific Motors and other similar drives. With operational values of 2.5 A RMS current and an intact 65 Volt DC power supply, it includes comprehensive protection from overheating and short circuits with a LED display to indicate such events. It also intelligently eliminates potential mid-range instability in frequency and propounds user-adjustable stability values.
