The VT-HACD controllers, belonging to the component series 1X, are versatile units that serve multiple functions in automation systems. They can be utilized as command value cards, aiding in the generation, linkage, and standardization of signals, as well as acting as controller cards for control loops that include PIDT1 controllers with optional state feedback.
These controllers are capable of substituting closed-loop control for applications that require precision, such as position control with an overlay of pressure or force control. They feature an input for SSI digital measurement systems, both absolute and incremental. The controllers are equipped with six selectable analog inputs that support voltage and current signals, and three analog outputs that include one switchable between voltage and current and one dedicated voltage output. Moreover, they offer a variety of options for signal linking and switching, enhancing their adaptability and application in complex automation tasks.

Inputs & Outputs

The VT-HACD controller comes equipped with robust I/O capabilities. For analog inputs, it offers flexibility with 6 inputs that can be toggled between various ranges: ±10 V, 0...10 V, 0...20 mA, and 4...20 mA, adjustable via software. Among the analog outputs, AO1 can similarly switch between ±10 V, 0...10 V, 0...20 mA, and 4...20 mA. AO2 is dedicated to a fixed output of ±10 V and is configurable for diagnostic functions. All analog inputs can be customized for working range and error detection, and the outputs can be fine-tuned with amplification and offset adjustments.

On the digital side, the VT-HACD is outfitted with 9 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs, offering a high level of control and monitoring. One digital input is specifically designated for the "Enable" function, and one digital output signals "OK" status. Additional digital inputs can initiate block triggering. The function of each digital output can be selected from a predefined list, allowing for the output to match the command value or signal various states like value thresholds, ramp activity, completed timing, internal flags, or error indications. This level of detail in digital output functions enhances the controller’s adaptability to complex automation processes.
