Indramat MCS

Indramat MCS Motors

The IndraDyn L motor's primary part is designated as MLP, a term that signifies its critical role in the motor's function. The motor size is determined by the width of the active magnet in the secondary part of the motor, which also corresponds to various power ranges offered by the motor. Motor lengths within a given series increase in size and are differentiated by alphabetical ID letters, such as A, B, or C, which represent frame lengths. Additionally, the winding code numbers provide an indication of the maximum speed that the motor can achieve, expressed in meters per minute (F_max). All primary parts of IndraDyn L motors are equipped with liquid cooling systems for operation, making liquid cooling the sole cooling option available for these motors, ensuring efficient heat dissipation during their use.

MCS Type Code

The Bosch Rexroth Indramat MCS Motors come in various frame sizes, including: MCS015, MCS020, MCS030, MCS040, MCS070

Each of these frame sizes is designed to cater to different power ranges and can be recognized by their active motor length. For instance, the MCS015 has a smaller active motor length compared to the MCS070, which is larger and capable of handling higher power requirements. The specific lengths of the secondary parts for each frame size are directly indicated in millimeters in the type code for the motors.

Ambient Conditions

The MCS motors can operate safely within an ambient temperature range of 0 to +40 degrees Celsius, ensuring functionality in various industrial environments. For transport, they can endure a broader temperature spectrum, from -20 to +80 degrees Celsius, allowing for resilience during shipping under extreme conditions. When it comes to storage, the MCS motors are capable of withstanding temperatures from -20 to +60 degrees Celsius, which offers flexibility in inventory management. They do not have a specified temperature class according to DIN EN 60034-1, and their degree of protection is classified as IP00, indicating that they are not protected against the ingress of solid objects or water and should be operated in environments where exposure to such elements is controlled.
