The Indramat KMS02 near motor servo drive is a sophisticated component designed for advanced drive electronics. It supports communication output coupling and is equipped with a single hybrid cable that manages both power and communication, streamlining the connectivity within complex systems. Optional features include HIPERFACE® encoder evaluation for precise feedback and control, as well as integrated motion logic according to IEC 61131-3 standards. For enhanced safety in critical applications, optional safety technology can be included. The drive is capable of Multi-Ethernet connectivity, accommodating various industrial communication protocols. Furthermore, it boasts a high degree of protection with an IP65 rating, ensuring robustness against dust ingress and water jets, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial environments. This combination of features encapsulates the drive's versatility and adaptability to meet the demands of modern automation systems.

KMS03

The Indramat KMS03 near motor servo drive is a versatile and robust drive system designed to operate in challenging industrial environments, boasting an IP65 degree of protection. It offers flexibility in mounting options, with a version featuring a heat sink (KMS03.1B-A) and another designed for cold plate mounting with a thermal interface (KMS03.1B-B). The servo drive supports a MultiEncoder interface that is compatible with a variety of encoders, including Hipface, Endat 2.1/2.2, SSI, and Safety 4 Wire, 1 Vpp.

For connectivity and control, the drive is equipped with four digital inputs and outputs, with two that can double as fast probe inputs, enhancing its adaptability for different control tasks. It is also equipped for Multi-Ethernet communication, with options for external Multi-Ethernet communication and Multi-Ethernet communication output coupling, allowing for seamless integration into networked systems.

Safety is a prime concern, and the KMS03 can be optionally fitted with Safe Torque Off or Safe Motion safety technology, providing critical safety functions for machine operation. Additionally, it includes Integrated Motion Logic in compliance with IEC 61131-3 standards, enabling sophisticated motion control programming and execution within the drive itself. This integration simplifies system design and can lead to cost and space savings by reducing the need for external control hardware.
