Ambient Conditions

The MAD motors are designed to operate within specific ambient conditions to maintain optimal performance. The specified performance data is valid for motors running in ambient air temperatures from 0°C to +40°C and at installation altitudes from 0 meters to 1000 meters above sea level. Additionally, they are rated for environmental class 3K4, which includes lower air temperature limits of +5°C, a high air temperature threshold of +40°C, relative humidity ranging from 5% to 95%, and absolute humidity levels between 1 g/m³ and 29 g/m³. They can also handle a temperature change rate of 0.5°C/min, ensuring stability and reliability across varying climates and operational conditions.

The components of the machinery are safeguarded to varying degrees as per their Ingress Protection (IP) ratings. The output shaft without a shaft sealing ring has a protection degree of IP54, indicating that it is protected against limited dust ingress and splashing of water. Meanwhile, the output shaft with a shaft sealing ring, the output shaft with labyrinth seal, the power connection, fan connection, motor encoder connector, and the motor fan all boast a higher degree of protection with an IP65 rating. This rating signifies that these components are dust-tight and protected against low-pressure jets of water from any direction, ensuring a high level of protection against environmental elements.
