IndraDrive HMV

The IndraDrive HMV series functions as an integral part of a larger drive system, specifically designed to be used in tandem with power sections such as IndraDrive HMS and HMD. When integrating an HMV unit, it is essential to ensure that it is paired with DC power supply units that are approved and capable of delivering the necessary rated input current required by the power section in question. The specifications for such protection are detailed in the supply unit manual, commonly referred to as the Project Planning Manual.

Series Variations

The document outlines specifications for different versions of an HMV device, with respect to various electrical parameters at an ambient temperature of 0 to 20°C.

The control voltage for the units is generally 24V with a tolerance of ±5%, with the exception of the HMV01.1R-W0120 model, which has a wider tolerance of -20% to +15%. The maximum ripple content is controlled, and the maximum allowed overvoltage is set to 24V +20%, except for the HMV01.1R-W0120 which is limited to 24V +15%.

The maximum charging current varies between models, with the HMV01.1-1E-W0030, HMV01.1-1R-W0018, and HMV01.1-1R-W0045 models rated at 5A, 5.5A, and 7A respectively. The HMV01.1-1E-W0075 and HMV01.1-1R-W0065 models allow slightly higher currents of 5.5A and 7.5A, while the HMV01.1-1E-W0120 and HMV01.1-1R-W0120 models can handle 10A and 13A (including device blower) respectively.

The maximum pulse duration of the charging current (IEIN3) is 15 ms for most models, except for HMV01.1-1E-W0120 and HMV01.1-1R-W0120, which have significantly longer pulse durations of 50 ms and 2000 ms respectively.

The maximum input capacity for most models is 10 mF, but for the HMV01.1R-W0120 model, it is only 1 mF.

Power consumption at 24V also varies, starting at 25W for the HMV01.1-1E-W0030 model and going up to 30W, 55W, 31W, 41W, and 108W for the HMV01.1-1E-W0075, HMV01.1-1E-W0120, HMV01.1-1R-W0018, HMV01.1-1R-W0045, and HMV01.1-1R-W0065 models respectively. The HMV01.1-1R-W0120 model has the highest power consumption at 224W, which includes the device blower.
