IndraDrive HMS

The IndraDrive HMS is a versatile and modular drive system designed to control single and double axes, which makes it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. The HMS drive controllers, including the HMS01 and HMS02, as well as the HMD01, are engineered to provide precise control over motor operations. The HMS01.1 has a single power output to operate a motor and is compatible with HMV01 supply units along with HCS02 and HCS03 drive controllers. Similarly, the HMS02.1 also offers a power output to operate a motor and works in conjunction with HMV02 supply units and HCS02 drive controllers. On the other hand, the HMD01.1 is distinctive with its dual power outputs, allowing it to operate two motors independently of each other. These drive controllers are beneficial to automated manufacturing processes, robotics, and other sophisticated motion control systems.

The IndraDrive HMS drive system is employed across a multitude of sectors, including machine tools, packaging machinery, printing and paper processing, textile machinery, robotics, material handling and logistics, food and beverage processing, plastics machinery, the automotive industry, renewable energy sectors such as wind turbines, and in the precise environments of medical equipment manufacturing and operation.

Appropriate Applications

These drive controllers are programmed before commissioning to perform specific tasks, making them suitable for a range of applications including handling and mounting systems, packaging and food machines, printing and paper processing machines, and machine tools. The drive controllers are tailored for both single- and multi-axis drive and control tasks, and are available with various drive powers and interfaces. However, their operation is only permitted under specific assembly and installation conditions, and they must be used in the position of normal use and within the prescribed ambient conditions (such as temperature, humidity, and electromagnetic compatibility).

In contrast, inappropriate use of these drive controllers occurs when they are operated outside the prescribed operating conditions and technical specifications detailed in the documentation. This includes, but is not limited to: usage in environments with conditions not meeting the specified ambient parameters, such as under water, under extreme temperature fluctuations, or in extremely high temperatures. Additionally, these controllers must not be utilized in applications that have not been expressly authorized by Rexroth. Using the drive controllers in unauthorized ways or in unapproved applications can lead to malfunctions, safety hazards, and potentially void warranties. It's imperative for users to adhere strictly to the guidelines provided to ensure the safe and efficient operation of these devices.
