The 5445, produced by Pacific Scientific, is a component of their 5000 Series of robust stepper motors, compatible with many industrial functions via user-friendly, onboard electronic controls. Drivers engineered with specific software ensure compatibility and accessibility. The 5445 drivers employ the PacSci Stepper Basic programming syntax, allowing the functionality of an Indexer and connection to a power main of 120 volts AC. The drivers streamline synchronization of the power required for motor winding, and the operation of a two-phase, bipolar, stepper motor with a steady output of five amps per phase. The units are designed for use with specific compatible motors. The driver system incorporates a driver module and power unit, both utilizing PWM functionality for optimal motor control. Additional protections include a circuit to manage input voltage spikes, and an LED display for short circuit alerts.
