This drive module excels in its performance when coupled with the standard and enhanced series of these hybrid motors, as long as the motor winding's current ratings match the drive package's output levels of 5.0, 6.0, 7.5 and 8.0 Amp RMS. The module operates on an input voltage of 115 volts ac and can pull a maximum input current of 13 A RMS. The drive circuit produces regulated current on a 160-volt dc bus and the output current rating can be chosen through a selectable switch. For easy installation, the module fits into a standard 8-inch NEMA frame. The 5630 module has been designed to effectively convert step and direction inputs into corresponding motor winding currents, providing optimum control of two-phase stepping motors.
