Kollmorgen's AKD-B02406-NBAN-0000 is an Ethernet-compatible digital servo drive with Safety Torque Off (STO) digital input. It is designed primarily for use with linear motors, synchronous servomotors, and induction machines. An important part of the package are a printed safety guide and a DVD comprised of setup software and an installation manual. Key setup components like connection cables and RJ45 and SubD connectors are not included. Each unit has a unique MAC address, assigned by Kollmorgen, and is customizable to meet US Standards. It includes an internal regen resistor, supports the connection of various standard feedback devices, and also allows encoder emulation onboard. For safety, the unit has a soft-start mechanism and monitors temperature of the servo drive and connected motor. Power requirements are an external 24 V, and a conductive panel is advised for mounting. It operates under an IP address determined by the S1/S2 rotary switches. Successful operation is indicated by the o0 on its LED display.
