The AKM22G-CKB22-00, developed by Kollmorgen, is a top-quality synchronous servomotor ideal for applications requiring high dynamic and stability, such as industrial robotics, machine tools, and packing equipment. Utilizing speed and torque control, it should be used with an AKD servo drive. The servomotor features G winding type, an open keyway shaft, and ball bearings designed for 20,000 operating hours under specific conditions. Bearing noise should be inspected every 2,500 hours. Notably, the AKM servomotor integrates a Comcoder with a 2048 PPR feedback system and rotatable angular connectors. For safety, the motor housing must be connected to an earthed PE busbar, and power connections are potentially live even when inactive. It also includes a non-retrofittable 24V holding brake, used for standstill situations and not for operational braking. When disengaged, the rotor can move freely without leftover torque.
