Kollmorgen's AKM42E-ANC2AAOO is a brushless DC servomotor designed for operation in industrial settings. The motor, using a standard built-in resolver for feedback, should be driven strictly by SERVOSTAR series servo amplifiers for effective speed and/or torque control. Boasting a flange size of 84mm and rotor length of 2, this motor is finished in matte black (RAL 9005) and tolerates up to 95% humidity, minus condensation. Included is a 24V DC spring applied brake that restricting rotor movement when de-energized, acting as a standstill brake. Note, this brake is not fit for repeated operational braking. The key-inserted keyway shaft adheres to DIN 6885 specifications and the device can accept a three-phase supply network. Due to sensitivity of the shaft and flange, rough handling should be avoided. Improper axial loading and incorrect amplifier settings can shorten motor life or cause serious damage. Unplugging the motor while live can be dangerous and should not be attempted until the DC-link voltage falls below 40V.
