The 3DI486.6-1 digital input module by B & R Automation is designed for industrial control systems. It features two independent groups, each containing 32 digital inputs, with I/O function status indicators and LED indicators for monitoring power supply status. The module operates efficiently, consuming only 1.2 W at a 5 VDC supply, and offers electrical isolation between input groups, though none between channels within the same group. It meets UKCA, CE, and cULus standards, supports sink or source circuits at 24 VDC, and incorporates hardware input filtering for rapid signal processing under 100 µs. With IP20 protection, it withstands temperatures from -25°C to 70°C and humidity between 5%-95%. Compatible with the System2005 format, it serves as an interface or controller for machines and sub-systems.
