The B&R Automation 5LS187.6-1 logic scanner module, part of the 5LS series, is designed for industrial automation systems. It is a PCI half-size module with plug-and-play support and features 1MB of battery-backed SRAM for storing process variables and data objects. The module supports real-time Ethernet communication via POWERLINK (V1/V2) with a 100 Mbit/s transfer rate over a 100-meter range. Additionally, it includes a CAN bus interface, using a 4-pin male multipoint connector, with a 1 Mbit/s data transfer rate over a distance of up to 1000 meters. The 5LS187.6-1 can function as a bus controller module via an RJ45 port and is compatible with B&R Automation PC, B&R Panel PC, and Desktop PC installations. It has a robust operating temperature range of -25 to 70°C and includes a lithium battery. Safety and reliability are assured with CE and UL certifications.
