RL2-500CBB
The RL2-500CBB cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. Designed for industrial automation, this product carries three-phase power from an IndraDrive servo amplifier to a second-generation MS2 motor. By acting as an extension between drive cabinets and moving axes, it maintains consistent power delivery while withstanding repetitive motion in cable tracks.
The cable is listed in the Rexroth Cable product group and follows a Basic cable design and Basic model structure that simplifies routing in confined spaces. Its conductors present a cross-section of 1.0 mm², arranged according to the specification 4x L + 4x 0.75 mm²; this layout separates the main phases from control pairs to limit electromagnetic coupling. During installation the minimum static bending radius is 5xD, whereas dynamic motion in drag-chain applications must observe a tighter limit of 7.5xD. In repetitive machine cycles the construction endures up to 5 Million bend cycles before mechanical fatigue becomes critical. These values qualify the Power Cable variant for continuous-flex tasks such as palletisers, pick-and-place gantries, and other servo-driven axes.
System compatibility is defined on both ends. Drive side parameters match the IndraDrive family, while the motor end mates to MS2x With Plug D units of the 2nd generation through an integrated M17 Power Connector that locks with a quarter-turn thread. Because the cable is supplied as an Extension Cable, no intermediate terminations are required between motor and cabinet. This arrangement reduces voltage drop and simplifies commissioning when multiple axes share the same routing envelope. Together with its Basic construction, these interface features ensure predictable thermal behaviour under nominal current loads.
