The TBM 1.1-20-W1/115 is a bleeder module made by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It is the first bleeder module in the TBM series and includes a built-in heatsink blower with a 115V voltage rating to cool down the module during operation. With a high DC bus voltage rating, it is primarily used in automation drives to manage the regenerative and continuous power. The module works by allowing excess energy to flow through the bleeder resistor when the bus voltage reaches its maximum, keeping the voltage from going above its threshold. In spite of its function, the connected drive capacitors may retain dangerous voltage if the bleeder resistor fails. It's also important to maintain sufficient distance from flammable objects.
