The Bosch Rexroth Indramat CSH01.1C-S3-EN2-NNN-MD1-NN-S-NN-FW is an advanced, modular control unit, integral to an IndraDrive controller. Two of its four slots are equipped with an encoder EnDat 2.1 module suitable for 5 Volts DC encoders and a digital I/O extension module (MD1), with twelve 24 Volts input channels and eight 24 Volt output channels. Its unoccupied slot supports several safety module options, including starting lockout and safety technology I/O. Additionally, the control unit contains a SERCOS III master communication interface. The unit also requires separately ordered firmware, and Bosch only allows the usage of approved accessories. Rapid connections are ensured by the 15-pin D-sub interface of the encoder module, and the 25-pin D-sub female connector of the MD1 module, both designed for stranded copper wire of specific cross-sectional areas.
