176F1470
Danfoss manufactures the 176F1470 power board in the VLT PowerCards series. This card fits in the power stage of VLT drives, where it channels DC-bus energy and switches the IGBT modules that create the variable-frequency output delivered to an AC motor. By keeping the power section modular, the board lets maintenance crews replace only the failed layer instead of the whole drive, preserving accurate motor speed and torque control for conveyors, pumps, and similar automation loads.
The card is supplied in the ST/HVAC/Aqua Revised variant, aligning its coating and component layout with three common VLT product lines. Field service points are clearly defined: the aluminum bracket accepts a Torx T28 driver, and the main DC-bus screws tighten to 3 N·m. The control daughterboard is secured with T20 screws, while 2 ribbon cables transfer gating and feedback signals between the logic and power layers. A Form C status relay mounted on the board toggles between normally open and normally closed states to report run, alarm, or trip conditions.
Additional torque limits protect the package once mounted: the M10 locknuts seat at 3 N·m, the smaller M8 locknuts at 2 N·m, and each IGBT screw is tightened to 4 N·m. The DC-bus enters through a keyed 3-Pin Molex header, and the cooling fan connects to the dedicated MK7 socket. Control wiring can route the Form C contacts directly, because the relay is rated for up to 240 VAC, 2 A. Taken together, these mechanical, electrical, and signaling limits define an installation envelope that keeps vibration, heat, and wiring loads within safe ranges for long-term drive operation.
