DDS02.1-A150-DS48-00-FW
The DDS02.1-A150-DS48-00-FW is a digital AC servo drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the DDS Drive Controllers series. It is intended for installation in a multi-axis rack, where it operates matched servo motors and converts motion commands from a PLC into regulated armature current. In an automation system, the drive serves as the power and control interface between the supply module and the motor. This arrangement supports precise torque, speed, and position control on packaging, material handling, and machine-tool axes. It also allows a central control system to coordinate several drive axes within the same cabinet.
At the power stage, the controller can deliver up to 150 A of continuous output, allowing it to run large servo motors without current derating. Command and status data are exchanged over the SERCOS interface, enabling real-time communication through a fiber-optic ring. Thermal management uses external air cooling, so fresh air passes across the heat sink without adding that heat to the cabinet interior. Rotor position is processed through digital servo feedback, which gives the drive the resolution needed for accurate speed regulation and stable position control. The module belongs to Line 02, placing it in the second DDS design line.
The unit is Version 1. It does not include embedded operating software, so the required control software is selected separately for the machine application. That approach lets the hardware be adapted to different axis duties without changing the main power section or the rack format. The rack-mounted layout also supports orderly wiring and shared airflow paths in cabinets that contain several coordinated axes. In systems with multiple servo channels, that structure helps keep communication and power distribution organized across the installation.
