The M.1301.5653 (DSA 014-460), designed by Kollmorgen, is a part of the esteemed DSA family of digital servo drives. It boasts a highly modifiable configuration that can cater to various demands, making it an effective drive for sinusoidal AC brushless motors and variable speed drives. It can successfully substitute a stepper drive without complications. Some of the adaptable command sources for this model include a +/- 10V analog input, SERCOS motion, and electronic gearing via direction input.
The M.1301.5653 (DSA 014-460) operates within an AC input frequency range of 47 Hz to 63 Hz, with a nominal AC input voltage that falls between 230 V and 480 V. It delivers continuous and intermittent output currents at 7 A and 14 A, respectively. Depending on the AC input, the power output is either 1.5 kW at 230 V AC input or 3.0 kW at 460 V AC input. While it generally utilizes a standard incremental encoder, it can also support single turn high resolution and multi-turn absolute encoders for complex assignments. The drive is also designed for seamless integration with custom ASICs and IPMs. Special features can be adjusted using the DSAPro software, and configurations can be effortlessly transferred and synchronized among other DSA drives. For optimum performance, the drive operates best in ambient temperatures not exceeding 55°C and a relative humidity up to 95% non-condensing. Recommended installation altitude is at 1500m.
