The Beckhoff BK1250 is an EtherCAT Bus Coupler designed for constructing control systems by blending standard Bus Terminals (KLxxxx) and EtherCAT Terminals (ELxxxx) within a bus station. The device, enclosed in terminal housing, requires no cables for operations and enables the creation of cost-effective, compact control solutions without additional hardware. The BK1250, utilized on a DIN-rail, can combine over 300 standard Bus Terminals and supports 64 K-Bus Terminals per unit. With a K-bus extension, it can manage up to 255 terminals. Unlike the BK1120 and BK1150 models, the BK1250, lacking a physical Ethernet port, utilises E-bus contacts for intra-bus connections. The device requires a 24VDC power supply, drawing a maximum current of 200 mA, and is mounted on a 35 mm mounting rail as defined by EN 60715. The front panel houses power supply spring terminals, diagnostic LEDs along with LEDs indicating the I/O Run and I/O Error status of the K-bus. For safety, a protective earth power contact can ground up to 125 A short-circuit current.
