The EK1122-0080, a product of Beckhoff's innovative approach to automation technology, is part of the EK1122 series of highly reliable, maintainable, and durable 2-port EtherCAT junctions. Designed to facilitate the formation of EtherCAT star topology configurations, the EK1122-0080 stands out for its 'Hot Connect' feature, which bolsters operational efficiency by facilitating changes to topologies and expediting the integration of the connected EtherCAT component into data communication. Also noteworthy is the 'Fast-Hot Connect' technology that curtails connection times and accelerates tool changes by leveraging specially labeled Fast Hot-Connect ports. Powered by E-bus and comes with two RJ45 bus connections, the EK1122-0080 must be mounted on a 35 mm rail adhering to EN 60715. At a weight of 70 grams, it operates optimally below 85˚C, possesses an IP 20 protection rating and CE, cULus, and ATEX certifications, and conforms to vibration and shock resistance standards set by EN 60068-2-6 and EN 60068-2-27 respectively. Unused ports should be fitted with blind plugs to deter dust accumulation.
