The Beckhoff EL6614 Ethernet Switch Port Terminal offers a consistent and facilitative network connection for multi-device communication in industrial settings. Designed for the EtherCAT Terminal network, it ensures transparent, collision-free dialogue between connected devices over an Ethernet connection. This compact unit features four Ethernet ports, Ethernet-based protocols and a store and forward switching mode. The EL6614 caters to a full range of industrial applications by offering both real-time and non-real-time data exchanges. The former optimizes network variable transmission and reception, whereas the latter priority-optimizes throughput, with the added functionality of automatic fragmentation. The EL6614 draws a typical E-bus root current of 450 mA and operates optimally between temperatures of -25 to 60 degrees Celsius (horizontal installation) and can endure storage between -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. Weighing approximately 85 grams, it is comfortably accommodative on its mounting rail.
