The B-206-A-31, a product of Kollmorgen's GOLDLINE series, is a low-inertia servo motor characterized by its excellent performance in applications needing swift acceleration and deceleration. Weighing 16.7 kg and adhering to an IP 67 standard protection rating, this motor adeptly resists infiltration by dust and oil, and can withstand brief immersion in water. The model's functionality can be expanded with the addition of fail-safe brakes and front-mounted gearheads. A defining feature is its high torque-to-volume ratio, achieved through compact, lightweight build. It includes a built-in thermostat to prevent overheating by persistently monitoring winding temperature. Despite being able to operate underwater due to special sealant rings, it’s advised against submersion beyond 30 mins at a depth of 6 feet. The B-206-A-31 uses a resolver-based feedback closed-loop control system for self-governing speed and position control, making it ideal for hazardous environments due to its explosion-proof design.
