The Okuma MPS45B is an advanced power supply module engineered for high stability and smooth operation under extreme conditions. Equipped with two cooling fans, it efficiently dissipates heat during continuous use. The unit supplies 24 – 300 V DC power via its L- and L+ terminals, supporting drive systems including spindle drive systems. A single MPS45B can power multiple MIV drive controllers, which manage synchronous motors. It features power regeneration, enhancing system response when paired with an inverter. Operating best below 1000 MSL, the MPS45B uses a converter link for data transfer with MIV units and includes an RS232 interface for I/O connections. Its 45 kW capacity is supported by a control board for program-specific tasks. The module’s front displays its name and various status indicators. Regular maintenance ensures optimal efficiency.
