The MPS60, a product of Okuma, is an integral part of its motion control system (MCS), designed to work in coordination with an inverter module. This DC power supply module weighs approximately 25 kg and has enclosure dimensions of 380mm x 300mm x 325mm. With a unit capacity of 60 kW, the MPS60 is equipped with power regeneration features and supplies DC power ranging from 24 – 300V through its DC bus terminals. The module can connect to multiple MIV units via a converter link and communicates with the main spindle motors. Although it is resistant to solid particles, its protection against liquids is limited. It incorporates two cooling fans and a 2-digit seven-segment LED display for error indication, with a monitor terminal for input voltage waveform analysis. The MPS60 features an identifying controller ID switch and operates best within the manufacturer-specified temperature range.
