The X20DS4389, part of the X20 Series by B & R Automation, is a digital signal processing module designed for industrial automation systems. It features four digital input channels supporting up to 24VDC nominal voltage and approximately 1.3 mA nominal current. Additionally, it offers four programmable digital input/output channels. A key attribute of the X20DS4389 is its 125ns precision high-resolution timestamping, ideal for applications demanding precise timing and synchronization like motion control and data acquisition. The module includes four edge detection units for rapid signal state changes, with a microsecond speed capability. Operating at an internal I/O power consumption of 1.5W, it supports a 25-microsecond scan rate in oversampling mode. The outputs deliver up to 24VDC and 0.1A per channel, with defined switching thresholds. Diagnostic features using LED indicators and software checks ensure operational and health monitoring, supporting efficient system performance.
