The 33VM52-000-4 motor is a high-performance, low-inertia servo unit produced by Pacific Scientific. This motor, from the VM Series, incorporates an Alnico V-7 magnetic material and a drive end bearing journal shaft diameter of .281 to .344 inches. It is designed to operate without specific provisions for forced air cooling. Despite not featuring an optical encoder or analog tachometer, its factory-assigned sequence number, rated continuous current of 3.1-5.7, and voltage rating of 18-36V allows for robust operation. The motor is connected using three wires: black (ground), yellow or white (control unit), and red (power supply). Its unique function involves receiving a control signal, hence determining the required servo shaft position, a feature supported by a positional sensing device. This motor system permits a restricted rotational movement to about 200 degrees rather than full free rotation. The motor is also fully safety tested and comes with user-friendly installation instructions.
