The 5310 module motor driver by Pacific Scientific offers superior performance and reliability, functioning as an efficient bipolar electronic chopper device with pulse width modulation (PWM) control. It accepts a variety of inputs including direction, step pulse and current control and provides two-phase stepper motor compatible outputs. The regulated phase currents range from 18 to 75 volts DC and are primarily utilized for Pacific Scientific's 5000 Series Stepper Motors. The motor driver boasts an intelligent motion control system with power values of 2.5 A RMS and a 65 Volt DC integrated power supply. It offers protection against overheating and ground short circuits, indicated by an LED light. The 5310's idle current reduction feature automatically reduces the motor winding currents by up to 50% during standstill periods and it includes programmable rated current levels. The micro-stepping mode ensures optimum current excitation, with a micro-step "current boost" feature and logic input for effective programming of output levels.
