The K31SSFS-LEK-SS-02, a high-quality stepper motor produced by Pacific Scientific under the Kollmorgen brand, utilizes innovative SIGMAX technology for enhanced performance. This technology allows the motor to deliver maximum torque in a compact package through its high-torque magnetic design. This includes a small air gap, large rotor diameter, and high-energy rotor magnets and windings. The K31SSFS-LEK-SS-02 is compatible with standard and high-performance drives, accommodating diverse applications due to its large bearing capacity for high side and thrust loading. With each revolution comprising 200 full steps generated by two DC current energized windings, the reversal of current in either winding initiates a step. This enables precise control over the motor's speed and position, making it versatile for multiple motion control applications. The motor's performance is heavily reliant on the voltage and current supplied by the drive.
