The Pacific Scientific N31HRHK-LEK-SS-02 is a N series hybrid step motor best known for its ability to deliver high torque even at moderate speeds. It also boasts of high acceleration capabilities. Unlike its K series counterpart, it produces 25% less torque, does not feature SIGMAX technology, and doesn't have permanent magnets fitted in its stator. Housed in a square frame with a size code of 3, equivalent to a NEMA 34 frame size, this POWERPAC-branded motor is equipped with optimized magnetics for increased performance and a laminated rotor with a large diameter. The unit, however, does experience some leakage of flux while operating. Compatible with Pacific Scientific's OPTIMIZER version 3.0 software, the motor has a 4.65Nm holding torque and is designed with low detent torque harmonics. It remains comparatively cool during operation and also offers enhanced torque linearity above the rated current. It serves as a cost-effective alternative to servomotors.
