PC843-001-N
The PC843-001-N, manufactured by Pacific Scientific, is a digital brushless servo-drive that enhances the functionality of typical Kollmorgen brushless servomotors. The device uses a DSP with a robust digital and analog input/output option, improving precision and control in automation. It operates with a 400Hz velocity loop bandwidth, excites a continuous torque of up to 12.4Nm and peak torque of 33.3Nm, and emits minimal audible noise. Its commonalities with the PC800-type drives include separate logic supply input, extensive protection circuits and the presence of a single resolver. The servo drive uses a SERCOS interface for improved connectivity and high-speed operation. Providing an upgrade from the traditional PC800 serial interface, it can produce a 3.6A current during nominal operations and 10.6A at maximum for a short duration. The drive supports both convection and forced-air cooling types, with its continuous current capacity increased to 5.3A with the latter. It provides a peak output power of 4.5 kW and an efficiency of 98%.
