The SC402-016-T4, manufactured by Pacific Scientific, is designed to function as an independent controller for Pacific Scientific Brushless Servo motors, Permanent Magnetic (PM) Brushless Servo motors, and other related 3-phase servo motors. It is competent in 4 quadrant control of each PM Brushless Servo motor with an optional construction as a velocity or torque block. The SC402-016-T4 is characterized by its high-frequency PWM current control for superior servo motor operation, and extensive protection circuits for steadfast functioning. Key features include a direct 115/230VAC line operation, magnetically isolated output stage to combat crosstalk and ground loop interference, MOV protected input circuitry and flexible peak current limit adjustment. Safety measures represent an array of protection circuits such as output fault, controller OT, DC Bus Fault, Control Voltage OK, and Motor OT. This "open frame" design controller is designed to be housed within a filing cabinet, necessitating ventilation with filtered air to prevent dust accumulation and guard against electrical contamination or corrosive substances.
