The Pacific Scientific PC832-001-N drive aligns with the company's reputation for easy setup and installation. Connectivity is flexible, accomplished via an RS-232 cable or a 3-wire cable. This drive connects to the user-provided 240/120 VAC power source through the L1 and L2 AC power terminals, feeding into the drive's control voltage power supply which can accept voltages from 85 to 256 Vac. A chassis ground is provided, marked PE and affixed with M4 x 12 screws. This serves as an attachment point for control and bus power, linking directly to the protective earth ground, dependent on local electrical code. Converter energy is taken in by external resistors connected to the regeneration interface terminals. With the potential for high voltages, it houses resistors rated at 12.5 Ω ( ±10%), 200W, and 1,500 V Isolation, all for mounting on earthed panels for safety.
