131X6117
The 131X6117 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the FC 111 Flow Drives series in the VLT Flow Drives product group. It regulates the speed of induction motors that move liquids or gases, making it suitable for pumps, fans, and compressors in industrial automation. By converting fixed mains frequency into a programmable output, the unit helps processes maintain target flow while trimming power consumption during partial-load operation.
It is housed in an enclosure rated IP20 with back plate, keeping live parts finger-safe while allowing cabinet airflow for cooling. The power stage is fed by a 3 x 380–480 V AC network through a 3-phase rectifier; under full load the mains draw peaks at 8.3 A. Danfoss applies reinforced board coating to resist condensation and dust, and omits an internal brake unit because centrifugal loads rarely need rapid deceleration. No local control panel or auxiliary power input is fitted, so commissioning is handled through remote tools. A continuous motor capacity of 4 kW is available within standard ambient conditions.
On the output side the inverter delivers 9.0 A continuously and up to 9.9 A for short overloads, providing extra torque during pump priming or damper movement. The built-in EMC network meets class A1 (C2) for conducted emissions, letting the drive connect to most industrial power systems without additional filters. Its insulation meets voltage class T4, matching the surge levels typical of 480 V distribution. These electrical constraints align the FC 111 module with large constant-pressure water loops and variable-speed air handling stations.
