The Beckhoff AX2090-BW51-6000 is an external braking resistor designed for use with AX5000 servo drives in high-performance multi-axis applications. It provides up to 6 kW of continuous power with a resistance of 23.2 Ω, enhancing the drives' braking capability under extreme conditions. This unit incorporates features such as forced cooling and a break chopper for effective regenerative energy management. It can be mounted externally, reducing heat within the control cabinet and improving system efficiency. Weighing 12 kg and measuring 455 x 255 x 490 mm, it is easily handleable and integrates seamlessly into multi-axis systems using the AX-Bridge module.
