The AX5021-0000-0000 servo drive from Beckhoff’s AX Digital Servo Drives series features a 250 W internal braking resistor and an EtherCAT interface. It supports external braking resistors up to 6 kW, has 705 µF auxiliary capacitance, uses forced cooling and includes a brake chopper. It provides DC link expansion for brake energy storage and auto-activates the resistor at threshold. For heavy-duty applications it mounts outside the cabinet to avoid heat buildup.
