The BK5000 from Beckhoff features 16-bit analog data width and baud rates selectable from 10 kbit to 1 Mbit. Part of the BK EtherCAT Bus Couplers, it integrates CAN-ERR and RUN LEDs and error indicators BUSOFF and OVERRUN. The module offers eight digital inputs per channel and modes for polling, cycle, and change-of-value.

It has a CAN-CAL connector with pins for CAN-H, CAN-L, and CAN-GND and a UL-compliant 24 V input. Default registers set CAL Baud Rate=4 and Guard Time=300 ms. Structured process image mapping simplifies diagnostics.
