The BX3100-0000, part of Beckhoff's BX series, is a versatile Bus Terminal controller designed for demanding automation applications. It offers 256 Kbytes of both program and data memory, with additional remanent and persistent data capacities. Supporting one PLC task, the BX3100-0000 efficiently processes control logic with 1,000 NSF PLC program instructions in approximately 1 ms. It supports the IEC 61131-3 programming standard, accommodating IL, LD, FBD, SFC, and ST languages with online change capabilities for seamless updates. Data transfer is facilitated by a 9-pin D-sub socket, supporting auto-recognition of rates up to 12 Mbaud. The BX3100 can handle up to 234 bytes of data input/output and connect with up to 2040 digital and 512 analog peripheral signals. This flexibility ensures compatibility with a wide range of industrial automation systems, making it a robust choice for applications with extensive I/O needs.
