EHA-PID-201-A-10
The EHA-PID-201-A-10 is a PID control interface module manufactured by Vickers and supplied within the Vickers Accessories series. Intended for closed-loop hydraulic or pneumatic drives, the unit conditions command, sensor, and feedback signals so that proportional outputs can regulate directional or flow-control valves. Combining signal conditioning, loop computation, and safety gating on one DIN-rail device simplifies cabinet wiring and shortens commissioning time in automated machinery.
Electrical power is supplied by a nominal 24 V DC source, and consumption stays at 6 W. The housing clips on a DIN EN 50022/50035 Rail; recessed terminals satisfy the IP20 protection class. The demand input offers 100 kΩ impedance, while auxiliary paths include feed-forward at 6 kΩ, a switched command at 10 kΩ, and sensor current feedback across a 100 Ω burden. Separate reference rails provide –10 V and +10 V, each rated 10 mA, for external potentiometers. For monitoring, the board yields a feedback analog output of ±10 V at 1 mA, and all circuits share a common return to reduce noise.
Logic gating is handled by two threshold-sensitive pins: the enable line asserts when it rises above 17 V, whereas the disable line forces the output stage inactive once it falls below 3.5 V. When active, the PID stage sources a control signal of ±10 V, 5 mA for direct drive of valve coils or external amplifiers; a high-resolution sensor voltage input with 1 MΩ impedance feeds the internal error computation without affecting transducer accuracy. Together with the feed-forward and switched inputs mentioned earlier, these functions let the installer tailor loop dynamics, apply proportioning offsets, and verify performance through the dedicated ±10 V feedback port while the device remains within its thermal envelope.
