The Beckhoff EL6752 master terminal for DeviceNet leverages the power of the EtherCAT connection, eliminating the need for PCI slots in the PC. This allows any DeviceNet device to be integrated into the EtherCAT network. Key features of the EL6752 include unconnected message manager, comprehensive error management, parameter and diagnostics interfaces, and support for various I/O modes. Data transfer rates range from 125 to 500 kbaud, and it can connect up to 63 slaves using an Open style 5-pin connector. The EL6752 is powered via the E-bus, and utilizes TwinCAT System Manager for configuration. Measuring 26mm x 100mm x 52mm and weighing 70g, the terminal is ATEX and CE approved. It operates effectively at temperatures between -25°C and 60°C, and should be housed in a terminal box with IP 54 protection for optimal function. Only properly trained personnel should operate the EL6752.
