The Beckhoff IE6002-1001 is an RS232 interface module from the IE Extension Box Series, designed to mitigate noise and disturbances in automated system communications. Operating at a nominal 24 V DC with voltage tolerance from -15% to +20%, it supports data rates from 1200 to 115200 baud, with a standard rate of 9600 baud (8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit). This module includes TxD and RxD channels for data transmission and features M12 screw-type connectors for secure connections. With an IP65/66/67 rating, it is ideal for dust and moisture-prone environments. The module accommodates up to 15-meter extensions and ensures electrically isolated, transparent RS232 signaling. Powered via an M8 male socket, the module's power consumption is 40 mA. It offers a process image bit width of 3 × 8-bit user data and 1 × 8-bit control/status, expandable up to 5 × 8-bit user data.
