The MX2000-2, a programmable motion controller manufactured by Kollmorgen, operates on DSP for enhanced performance and includes a multitude of inputs and outputs. Designed to function either independently or in conjunction with operator interfaces, it includes a standard axis card for direction and pulse signals compatible with most stepper drives. With a maximum pulse rate of 1.99 MHz, it can manage drives up to 50,000 pulses per revolution. The controller also features analog outputs that serve as a torque command for a servo drive. Running on a 90 to 265 VAC at 50/60 Hz input frequency, it also incorporates inputs from two incremental encoders (2 MHz max count rate), 5VDC power for encoder energizing, and a built-in 24 VDC supply for I/O. Mathematical and logical operations, various motion profiles, and error warning displays further amplify its convenience and multifunctionality.
