The MX2000-6, a high-tech programmable controller from Kollmorgen which specializes in automation systems and motion control parts, boasts of superior architecture centered around a digital signal processor (DSP). Designed to monitor 2 to 8 stepper or servo drives alongside controlling up to 350 I/O points, it's fitted with a custom-programmed Application Specific Integrated circuit (ASIC) that supervises each axis pair. This potent computer hardware enables the controller to multitask up to seven simultaneous motion and input-output user tasks. Driving on 90 to 265 VAC at a 50/60 Hz frequency, it features an AC line filter and a power-on LED. It also incorporates a dual-axis card with 2 analogue outputs and 4 analogue inputs, two servo interfaces, two encoder interfaces plus 8 dedicated optically isolated inputs. With complete math capability, compliance with BASIC-line coding, and support for both complex and simple motions, it can multitask 7 concurrent tasks.
