The VLT 2060 frequency converter, manufactured by Danfoss and a member of the VLT 2000 Frequency Converters series, delivers precise motor control for a wide range of industrial applications. This unit provides a constant output current of 9.7 A and a constant output power at 415 V of 7.0 kVA, supporting a typical shaft output power of 4.0 kW with a max output current (60 s) of 15.5 A. Performance efficiency is achieved through Danfoss’ advanced Voltage Vector Control (VVC) principle, which minimizes low switching loss by maintaining a very short switching interval and a high switching frequency. The converter’s six semiconductors operate alternately in pairs, reducing thermal stress and extending component life. During open-loop operation, the motor current supplied serves as feedback for basic speed control, while closed-loop operation incorporates direct process feedback for enhanced torque accuracy. Protection features include a max input current of 9.1 A and support for max prefuses of 20 A, safeguarding both the converter and the connected motor from electrical faults. Additionally, the unit accommodates a max motor cable length of 40 m standard or 300 m unscreened, enabling flexible system layouts without signal degradation.
