080G0034
The 080G0034 programmable controller is manufactured by Danfoss for the MCX Programmable Controllers series. Classified as a compact logic and I/O module, it coordinates analog sensing, digital monitoring, and relay actuation inside HVAC and general automation panels. Its role is to read field signals, execute user code, and drive connected loads, acting as the central decision layer between sensors, drives, and supervisory networks. Because the unit operates from low-voltage AC power, it suits control cabinets where safety isolation and reduced wiring effort are required.
The controller accepts a control supply of 24 V AC (±15%) and draws up to 17 VA when all circuits are energized; its direct-current section caps consumption at 10 W. Signal acquisition is handled through 8 analog inputs, while output conversion is delivered on 4 analog voltage outputs. Each analog channel drives loads down to 1 kΩ and limits open-circuit voltage to 6.8 V to protect external electronics. Eight digital inputs source 5 mA per point, and two PWM/PPM outputs modulate duty cycle for proportional valves or inverters. Internal firmware monitors power usage so developers can manage processing overhead within the available budget.
Actuation tasks rely on eight on-board relays; two of them are classified as high-inrush 16 A relays and share a cumulative contact limit of 32 A. At startup they withstand a surge of 80 A for 20 ms, allowing direct switching of compressors or heating elements. An additional six standard channels complete the set, and pulse outputs may be reassigned to digital drive tasks when relays are idle. Communication with external equipment is handled through an opto-insulated RS485 port that isolates logic from field ground. The molded front panel meets the IP40 rating, and internal diagnostics disable outputs if cumulative current nears the configured ceiling.
