131Z8831
The 131Z8831 is a low-voltage AC drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT 2800 Low Voltage Drives series. Designed for installation in process-oriented machinery, the unit modulates motor speed to match changing load demands and therefore saves energy and reduces mechanical stress in automated equipment. Within a control panel, this drive links the incoming three-phase mains to the motor terminals and provides regulated output frequency and voltage, forming the central actuator in small pump, fan, and conveyor applications.
Electrical capacity is defined by a 2.0 HP mechanical output and a continuous 1.5 kW power rating, allowing the inverter to run fractional-size induction motors. It accepts a supply of 380-480 V ± 10% 50/60 Hz from a 3 phase line, and the power section is rated to an IP20 protection level for mounting inside ventilated cabinets. Because the hardware configuration is standard with a brake chopper, it can absorb regenerated energy during rapid deceleration. Conducted emissions are suppressed by an RFI filter built to EN 55011 Class A1, and there is no application option or fieldbus card installed.
The mechanical layout follows a Bookstyle format to minimize panel width, and the front panel carries a Built In Display (SLCP) for local parameter access, status codes, and manual jogging. A protective With coating finish guards the control electronics against moisture and airborne contaminants, supporting deployment in Process installations where washdown or chemical vapors may be present. As part of the VLT product group, and specifically the 2800 series, this model aligns with other Danfoss components for consistent commissioning tools and menu structures.
