The 2BP110.3 real-time clock module by B & R Automation enhances the efficiency of industrial systems with its robust non-volatile clock, powered by a lithium battery to maintain timekeeping during power outages. It features a RAM buffer with a battery life of at least two years and additional CPU support from a gold foil capacitor, providing a minimum of ten minutes of data integrity during battery changes or power loss. The module offers a resolution of 10ms and includes integrated monitoring with battery change alerts. It seamlessly integrates into systems via its system bus. User interaction is facilitated through a key switch, a reset button, and three programmable buttons, while an alphanumeric LCD and six status LEDs provide clear operational information. The 2BP110.3 allows for battery replacement with the PCC not powered, but adherence to local B & R regulations is necessary. This design ensures operational continuity and reliable data accuracy in industrial applications.
