The 2BP210.4 module, produced by B & R Automation in 2010, is engineered for industrial applications requiring compact solutions. Designed to host a single I/O module, it includes bus termination and meets C-UL-US safety standards. The module incorporates a non-volatile real-time clock powered by a lithium battery, ensuring at least two years of operation, with an additional ten minutes of power provided by a gold foil capacitor during outages. The time precision stands at 10 ms, with integrated battery monitoring enhancing reliability. User interfaces feature a key switch, reset button, and three programmable configuration buttons, complemented by an alphanumeric LCD and six status LEDs for clear device status. It supports RS232 (IF1), RS232/TTY (IF2), and RS485/RS422 (IF3) communications. IF2 provides isolated connections up to 300 meters for TTY and 15 meters for RS232, both up to 64 kbps, whereas IF1's non-isolated RS232 supports up to 15 meters at the same speed.
