The 2CP100.6 CPU module, manufactured by B&R Automation, is part of the System 2005 series designed for industrial automation. This robust module features a strong processing core, dual-port memory of 64 KB, and system memory of 256 KB. It supports various application memories, including ME960, ME963, and ME965, for flexible SRAM and FlashPROM configurations. Equipped with six isolated communication interfaces (RS232, RS485/RS422/TTY), it enhances connectivity with other devices. The module includes a real-time clock with 1-second resolution and nonvolatile storage, sustained by a lithium and NiCd battery for reliable data retention. Additionally, it has a gold foil capacitor for short-term power buffering. The 2CP100.6 includes user-friendly controls such as a key switch, reset and cold start buttons, and status LEDs. Compliant with C-UL-US standards, it consumes 6 W, requires two rack slots, and allows system expansion through an expansion master interface, making it a versatile choice for industrial applications.
